Describe your first dance lesson: I was about 14, taking lessons at a church function. My partner was about 1 ½ feet taller than me and I couldn’t miss stepping on her feet. The town bully didn’t like me dancing with her (or any other girl for that matter), and picked a fight with me. He was a big guy and I wasn’t (4’8’’). He lost and I never was bullied again! Dancing must have made me quick on my feet.
Who is your dream dance partner: Jennifer Grey
Why support the American Red Cross: It is a world-wide supporter of people in crisis. They are there when we cannot be.
Hobbies or Passions: I am an avid aviator. Started when I turned 60 and haven’t looked back! I am also a proud grandfather of six (who will be taught to fly!). Reading, cigars, board gaming re-enactments, gardening, Young Eagles, church and other civic functions, Civic Air Patrol, modeling, did I mention flying?
