I’m co-owner of Indira Salon & Spa with my husband, Michael Nass. We have been in business for 17+ years in the Green Bay community. We were originally a part of the Main Street revival but after seven years at that location we expanded to a new location in Bellevue. That success led us to the Chicago market where we currently have three more locations.
My first dancing recollection comes from when I was about 10. Back in the day, playing was pretty basic… either you rode your bike, went to the public swimming pool or used your imagination in the backyard. I was that child that was always trying to dream up something creative. I was in love with the Fonz and wanted to be Leather Tuscadero. I would hold sock hops in my basement and charge the neighborhood kids a quarter to get in. I even made my own poodle skirt out of scraps of material.
By far, my dream dance partner is John Travolta… Staying Alive in Saturday Night Fever! I also wanted to be Olivia Newton John and knew every word from the Grease soundtrack!
My favorite dancers of all time on ABC’s “Dancing with the Stars” are Kirstie Alley and Maksim Chmerkovskiy, not only for their chemistry on the dance floor, but also for keeping it fun , down to earth and real! Kirstie is a role model for all women that size does not matter and you can be sexy at any age! However being “sexy” on the dance floor is probably one of my greatest fears!
I am a seasoned hairstylist who loves to travel. I also own a vintage and retro boutique in Chicago called WiLa CoLLections (why I love art). I spend my free time hitting up estate sales in Chicago.
I’m supporting the American Red Cross because I recently had the privilege of adopting two girls, Lucy & Ruby, from Taiwan (ages 6 and 10). Every day I get to see the world through the eyes of a child like it was the first time again. It has brought me to a greater level of awareness how helping others can change lives!

They will now spend the next four months learning two ballroom dances which they will perform at Dancing with our Stars 2015. That event will take place Saturday, February 14th, at the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay. Dancing with our Stars is now in its seventh year and it is has been a sold-out event each year. Not only do those in attendance support local efforts, so can those not attending as the “star dancers” receive votes in the form of donations to the Red Cross. One dollar equals one vote. Donations can be made now at this website:
The person who raises the most money between now and the end of the event will be awarded the coveted Fundraising Mirror Ball Trophy. All funds raised support disaster prevention, preparation and relief, the life-saving training of first aid, CPR/AED classes, collection and testing of blood and blood products, support to military members serving around the globe and international programs.
Last year’s event raised a record $500,000 for the local Red Cross. Jim Rivett, President of Arketype, Inc. took home the Fundraising Mirror Ball Trophy after raising $200,000, which also set a record for personal fundraising.
Rane Cegelski, Bruce Marshall Dance Studio, Simply Ballroom of Green Bay and TC Dance Club of Appleton are the participating dance partners for the event.
Peta Murgatroyd, who teamed with Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver to win Season 14 of ABC-TV’s Dancing with the Stars, will once again serve as a celebrity judge at the event.
Information about tickets will be available at a later date. More event information can be found on the following Red Cross platforms:
