I’m the Executive Director of Achieve Brown County, a cradle-to-career partnership designed to support children and their families at every stage of development.  I have a background leading successful multi-partner collaborations in the Greater Green Bay community, such as the Community Information System, which leverages data from local health, safety and education organizations to better understand best practice in serving our youth. I’ve served on the steering team for the Brown County Life Quality Project; sat on both the local and regional steering teams for the Leading Indicators for Excellence (LIFE) Study and, in partnership with the Green Bay Packers, led the first Text-To-Give effort in the NFL.

I loved music and dancing as a child. It’s hard to pin down my first memory – I have so many – but my parents always say the first song I’d dance to was Mockingbird by Carly Simon. Apparently every time the song came on I’d start wiggling in my diaper.

There are so many amazing dancers it’s hard to pick a dream partner. Martha Graham, Ginger Rogers and… Peta Murgatroyd?

I’m passionate about serving our community, which is why the effort of Achieve Brown County is really a dream job. I also enjoy reading, playing music (guitar mostly, occasional percussion), riding both road and mountain bikes, running and, most of all, playing with my kids: Emma (5) and James (8).

The Red Cross provides critical programming that helps people when they need help the most – during times of crisis. It’s an honor to participate in DWOS and to support such a worthwhile organization.

Here is a sneak peek of Adam and his dancer partner Jamie.

That event will take place Saturday, February 14th, at the KI Convention Center in downtown Green Bay. Dancing with our Stars is now in its seventh year and it is has been a sold-out event each year. Not only do those in attendance support local efforts, so can those not attending as the “star dancers” receive votes in the form of donations to the Red Cross. One dollar equals one vote. The person who raises the most money between now and the end of the event will be awarded the coveted Fundraising Mirror Ball Trophy. All funds raised support disaster prevention, preparation and relief, the life-saving training of first aid, CPR/AED classes, collection and testing of blood and blood products, support to military members serving around the globe and international programs.

Last year’s event raised a record $500,000 for the local Red Cross.  Jim Rivett, President of Arketype, Inc. took home the Fundraising Mirror Ball Trophy after raising $200,000, which also set a record for personal fundraising.

Rane Cegelski, Bruce Marshall Dance Studio, Simply Ballroom of Green Bay and TC Dance Club of Appleton are the participating dance partners for the event.

Peta Murgatroyd, who teamed with Green Bay Packers legend Donald Driver to win Season 14 of ABC-TV’s Dancing with the Stars, will once again serve as a celebrity judge at the event.

Information about tickets will be available at a later date. More event information can be found on the following Red Cross platforms:
