Dancing With Our Stars!

By Sean Sanders, on November 15th, 2012

I never in a million years thought I would write a blog about dancing, but here I am- writing about dancing!  When I was approached by the Red Cross to participate In Dancing With Our Stars I wanted to laugh and run away but the chance to raise money for such a great cause was too good to turn down.

Even though I have athletic ability (or at least I used to!), I am in no way a dancer so this is a real challenge. To make it even more intimidating, one of my competitors is Betina Driver who is dancing with her husband, Donald Driver.  Some of you might remember that he WON the mirror ball on the last season of Dancing With the Stars.  Nope, that’s not intimidating at all! In case anyone is wondering they are both as engaging and “real” as they appear to be on TV.

We have had our first few lessons and I have to admit it is a lot of fun.  Luckily, my partner, Jamie Keyzer, is patient and very good.  The other participants are great people and we are all having a blast learning our dances.

Luckily for me, the trophy goes to the person who raises the most money, not who dances the best so I have a very good chance of winning this competition!  If you would like to see the Mirror Ball displayed at Festival Foods, click HERE to donate.

Wish me luck and please donate to the Red Cross.  They need your contributions now more than ever.
