Dancing With Our Stars Fundraiser exceeds expectations: $45,600 raised by this first-time event

Glamour, Glitz and Stars galore – We are not talking about the Oscars, we are talking about the premiere of American Red Cross Lakeland Chapter Dancing with Our Stars fundraising event on February 22 at the Riverside Ballroom, Green Bay. Thanks to the sponsorship of DanceSport of Green Bay, Gagnon Clay Products, Nicolet National Bank, WBAY-TV 2, WIXX and our ten celebrity dancers, $45,600 was raised to support local Red Cross programs and services.

Our ten celebrity dancers and their partners wowed a sold out crowd of 570 with their amazing showmanship and grace on the dance floor. 

Taking away top honors and the Mirror Ball Trophy was Scott King, Senior Vice President of Nicolet National Bank.

Top Smooth Honors: Tonya Toonen and Ben Wolf with their Fox Trot to “Fever”, Average Joe and Melissa Frier with the Quickstep to “Sing, Sing, Sing” and George Graphos and Janet Gollnick with their Waltz to “Greatest Love.” 

Top Rhythm Honors: George Graphos and Janet Gollnick with their Paso Doble to “Spanish Gypsy Dance”, Cami Rapson and Michael Witte with their Swing to Journey’s “Separate Ways”, and Tonya Toonen and Ben Wolf with their Cha Cha to “Sway.”

The Oneida Nation People’s Choice Award went to Tonya Toonen and Ben Wolf for their Cha Cha.
